Vitality Unleashed: Our Webinar Recap.

COVID-19 and Clarity!

We hosted our vaccine education webinar, Vitality Unleashed: Your path to optimal health on November 18th 2023, bringing lots of people together to enhance understanding and knowledge about the current state of COVID-19 in 2023, the importance of COVID-19 vaccination, winter preparedness, and maintaining mental wellness during these times.

Our presenters were Dr. Christy Norton and Nieisha Deed. Dr. Christy Norton shared ways to protect ourselves and others from illnesses, including but not limited to the flu, COVID-19, and RSV. She also shared ways to stay healthy, and dropped some questions that gauged interaction— Did you know that over 13 billion COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered around the world?!

Nieisha Deed, a prominent advocate in Boston’s mental health and wellness area, was super relatable and based on the chat’s “yes, preach and right!”, we could see the connection between her story and that of the attendees. Wise words from Nieisha are “My happiness, mental health and wellbeing are more important than making others happy. I NEED TO BE HAPPY!” Both ladies will be following up with resources for the attendees!

The discussions were wholesome and gave us a chance to hear different perspectives, as well as share our experiences, support and resources. We were able to dispel COVID-19 knowledge and of course those in attendance received a $20 Grubhub Gift Card as a token of appreciation for their involvement!

We raised hands, answered in the chat and unmuted ourselves with almost 100 attendees at the interactive webinar. Huge thank you to our team for a beautiful execution, and to those who came out and contributed to the success of our COVID-19 webinar. We hope the information was well received, and understood. chica project continues to rally for the safety and protection of our chicas and our community!

Three-Four years in, and COVID-19 is still evolving; check our Instagram page for resources, facts and general information. Staying safe and healthy is an ongoing process. We’re all in. Protect yourself and others!
