Wendy was born in Washington Heights and raised in Boston. She attended Boston Public Schools and worked for 10 years in the same district. Wendy received her Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources Management and Writing from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she attended on a Talented Minority Scholarship. She then enrolled at Lesley University’s M.F.A in Creative Writing program, where she worked on a collection of short stories about the struggle of growing up in a racially tense and traditional Dominican family. In her last semester at Lesley University, Wendy was recruited by the Boston Teacher Residency, Boston’s premier teacher preparation program at the University of Massachusetts Boston, and in 2008 graduated with an M.Ed. She entered the education field as the Executive Assistant to the headmaster at an alternative school and remained in this role for 5 years before transitioning to teaching.
Understanding the pressures of high-level executives, in 2014, Wendy left the education field to support high-profile executives, small business owners, and consultants. Wendy believes that her only responsibility is to live in happiness and she does it fearlessly and unapologetically.
